Uganda has a mandatory type approval certification scheme for radio and telecommunication equipment.

UCC radio approval

UCC approval is required for all equipment with a radio interface. Testing for UCC ruirements can be conducted outside of Uganda. Approved equipment shall be labeled according to the UCC marking requirements. Depending on the product specification, Teleconformity can make a correct judgement of what needs to be done.

UCC telecom approval

UCC approval is required for all equipment with a terminal interface. Testing for UCC ruirements can be conducted outside of Uganda. Approved equipment shall be labeled according to the UCC marking requirements. Depending on the product specification, Teleconformity can make a correct judgement of what needs to be done.

UNBS certification

Electric equipment may require compulsary UNBS certification. Certified equipment shall be labeled according to the UNBS marking requirements. Depending on the product specification, Teleconformity can make a correct judgement of what needs to be done for your electric equipment.
