Costa Rica TDMA switched off
Costa Rica, The Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE), the monopoly provider of wireless services in Costa Rica, will switch off its legacy TDMA network today, despite the platform still registering some 9,000 users. Customers have been given a choice of switching to ICE's 2G or 3G networks, on either a pre-paid or post-paid basis.
