CDMA in Europe
The R&TTE directive provides harmonised ERM standards for CDMA technologies.

Classic CDMA (CDMA 1x) is used in certain countries where they allow 450MHz (Band class 11):
410-430MHz & 450-470MHz.
Also the 850MHz (Band class 12) may be allowed in some countries:
870-876MHz (Tx for mobile) paired with 915-921MHz (Tx for base).
The spectrum aspects are covered by RF standards:
EN301449 (CDMA 1x & CDMA PARM, BS=base),
EN301526 (CDMA 1x & CDMA PARM, UE=mobile),
EN302426 (CDMA 1x & CDMA PARM, RP=repeater).

IMT-2000 (3G) also deploys certain variants of CDMA technology. Here is a full overview of all technologies covered by the IMT-2000 RF standards:
EN301908-1 (common requirements);

-2 (UTRA FDD & E-UTRA FDD: DS-CDMA, UE),
-3 (UTRA FDD & E-UTRA FDD: DS-CDMA, BS),
-11 (UTRA FDD & E-UTRA FDD: DS-CDMA, RP);

-4 (CDMA-2000: MC-CDMA & E-CDMA-MC UMB, UE),
-5 (CDMA-2000: MC-CDMA & E-CDMA-MC UMB, BS),
-12 (CDMA-2000: MC-CDMA, RPT);

-6 (CDMA TDD UTRA TDD & -E-UTRA TDD, UE),
-7 (CDMA TDD UTRA TDD & -E-UTRA TDD, BS);

-8 (TDMA-SC: UWC 136, UE),
-9 (TDMA-SC: UWC 136, BS);

-10 (FDMA/TDMA: Digital Enhanced Cordless Telephony);

-13 (E-UTRA, UE),
-14 (E-UTRA, BS),
-15 (E-UTRA, FDD RP);

-16 (E-CDMA-MC UMB, UE),
-17 (E-CDMA-MC UMB, BS).
