Indonesia SDPPI
Indonesia, DGPT has been split up into two separate organizations, SDPPI and PPI. SDPPI is the Type Approval entity, whereas PPI is the entity managing frequencies and licensing. Consequently, the name POSTEL disappears from the type approval label and has to be replaced by DSPPI.

BRIC BRICS BRIKT MIST
BRIC Countries are considered to be the emerging economies, but the world is changing and the concept appears dynamic and gets follow ups. South Africa also is mentioned with the enlarged abbreviation BRICS, however China might go solo and suddenly we have BRI, if not South Korea and Turkey are also fast growing economies so may becomes BRIKT. Recently, MIST is also being coined, which are Mexico, Indonesia, South Korea and Turkey. Just keep following the developments here (source: Guardian)

Indonesia, Labels on electronic goods for home appliances, telecommunication, and informatics, construction/building material; motor vehicles (spare parts and others) must be in Indonesian language.

Indonesia permits BWA in the 5.8GHz band
Indonesia, DG Postel 233/DIRJEN/2002 allows Broadband Wireless Access equipment in the 5.8GHz band (5.725-5.825GHz), meaning that it can be certified.

Indonesia changes labeling
Indonesia, the Ministry of Trade requires Radio, Telecom, ITE and Household Equipment to be mandatory labeled with Tradename, Address (of local manufacturer or importer) and Country of Origin as of 2010-09-01. Each label must be approved by the Supervision Authority. Details of the Regulations are specified in
