Brazil, Anatel certificaiton rules requires ISO9001:2008 from now on. Manufacturers of Category I and II products must show compliance with the newer version, compliance certificates refering to older versions of this ISO standars are not any longer accepted.

Brazil/ANATEL, resolution 533 comes into force and requires SAR evaluation (RF Exposure measurements) for devices > 20mW (time averaged over 6 min.), devices using 300 MHz up to 6 GHz, devices worn < 20cm from the body, and portables. Laptops and notebooks are still excempted from SAR evaluation, howerver rulemakeing is progressing. Maximum Permissible Exposure (MPE) calculations shall be applied for devices to be operated > 20cm from the human body. Please contact Teleconformity for more details.
